YOUR DATA OWNERSHIP ------------------- Let's be clear: Your ranch data belongs to YOU. We are custodians, not owners. • You own 100% of your data — animals, weights, health records, financials, everything. • We never sell your personal information or ranch data. Not to advertisers, lenders, or anyone else. • You can export ALL your data anytime at /your-data — no hoops, no fees, no waiting period. • You can delete your account anytime, and we'll remove your data within 30 days. • If OpenPasture ever shuts down, you'll get 90 days notice and full export access. What We Collect --------------- • Account info: name, email, password (hashed) • Ranch data: animals, weights, health records, vaccinations, breeding records, financials — everything you enter • Usage data: how you use the app (pages visited, features used) to improve the product • Device info: browser type, device type, for debugging and support How We Use Your Data -------------------- • To provide the service — store your records, sync across devices, send notifications • To improve the product — understand what features people use, fix bugs • To communicate — account notices, support responses, optional product updates • For your Ranch Score — calculate your score based on your record-keeping (only you see this) What We DON'T Do ---------------- • We don't sell your data. Ever. • We don't share your ranch data with lenders, insurance companies, or buyers unless YOU explicitly choose to (like when you list an animal for sale) • We don't use your data for advertising • We don't train AI models on your individual ranch data Third-Party Services -------------------- We use a few trusted services to run OpenPasture: • Stripe for payments (they see your payment info, not your ranch data) • Cloud hosting for data storage (encrypted at rest) • Email service for notifications All these providers are bound by contracts to protect your data.
